Players point out to Riot elements they don’t like about LoL and protest. “Vote with your wallet”

League of Legends

The decisions made by Riot are not pleasing to the players. Is it time to protest?

League of Legends has changed a lot over the past few seasons. The most important elements were summed up by one player who focused mainly on the new Mythic Essence system and Prestige skins.

The community came up with the idea to start protesting in an interesting way, i.e. with a wallet. A lot of people don’t buy RP anymore, but still play and use servers. By this, they want to show that new content and its deterioration and passes are not accepted.

Player protest and content deterioration

For many months, players have been complaining about the new content in LoL. This applies not only to skins that are expected to get nerfed (the new Star Guardian series without a musical theme – CLICK) but also to events and Mythic Content, which has recently been changed.

The main allegations are:

  • A capsule system where you need to spend $ 120 to get a Prestige Skin.
  • Nerfing the progress of Event Passes and the point system.
  • Non-event Prestige Releases and overall Mythic Content nerf.
  • Weakening bags available during events, such as the ones that will appear during the upcoming Star Guardian event.

Additionally, players have doubts about the “upgrade” of the Essence Emporium. Some speculate that Riot does not want to improve the store and make money from it again.

Although most players understand that the developers want to earn money from their production, the number of payments and prices are too much for some. What’s the answer to that? The community suggests a protest, and not just any, but the most striking thing to every developer, i.e. not supporting the game by spending money on content.

Perhaps this will change in the near future. It’s already known that Riot has transferred an employee responsible for events and content. His successor may take a different path in the development of League of Legends. However, this is not certain.
