LoL players think Yuumi’s rework was a flop. However, the statistics show something interesting

Yuumi continues to stir up a huge controversy in the League of Legends community.

According to LoL players, Yuumi continues to give the impression of being too strong after the rework. The character recently received a rework, which was supposed to make her disappear from the e-sports scene, and in the standard League, she will be mainly in the hands of fresh players. However, Riot’s goal has not been fulfilled 100 percent – Heroine continues to appear relatively often in professional games.

Riot Phreak, who is responsible, among other things, for the balance of gameplay, commented in the thread. The designer wrote that the latest adjustments, despite what an impression they may give, turned out quite well. What exactly do the statistics presented by the developer say?

How is Yuumi currently doing?

Players don’t necessarily agree with Phreak’s statement, according to which Yuumi is finding herself weaker on the professional scene after the changes. Although she only has a 40% win rate in the LEC and LCK summer splices, in the LPL this rate is as high as 70%, which is the highest number among all supports. However, the heroine is not as often picked anymore, finding herself in the 6th position when one checks which champion is the most popular.

Ever since League of Legends e-sports players turned their attention to Yuumi and her potential in the hands of professional players, the game’s developers have had no easy task balancing the heroine. The main problem is the inability to target Yuumi when she is attached to an ally.

Her dominance in some tournaments, along with the mechanics of attaching to an ally, which were not necessarily warmly received by players, quickly made the character one of the most hated in League of Legends.

The midscope update hit the servers at such a time that the character was disabled during the MSI tournament. However, the fixes did not remove what is the cause of the massive amount of hate flowing toward the character.

Yuumi also doesn’t do too badly in the solo/duo queue, maintaining a victory rate of over 51% with a pick rate of around 15% even in Diamond+ divisions. The developers will no doubt be releasing further patches that will affect the character in question, but there is no expectation of major changes that will affect her key mechanics.
