Weapon balance changes have been made to Fortnite. Buffs, nerfs and one developer mistake
A small update appeared in Fortnite, the main task of which was to rebalance weapons.
The last few dozen hours in Fortnite are full of a few smaller updates, a mishap with V-Bucks, and a mistake when changing the value of the weapon. Epic definitely has a more difficult moment, because everything needs to be well balanced, and the mishaps of individual people or systems, in general, do not help.
An update focused strictly on weapons was introduced during the night. A few guns were weakened, and others were buffed. Among these changes was one little thing which was later corrected.
Fortnite balance changes
The description of the update is not long and it looks like this:
We’ve made a few balance adjustments today:
Two-Shot Shotgun – Increased pellet damage, minimum pellet count, accuracy, and max damage cap
Hammer AR – Reduced recoil
Striker Burst AR – Reduced damage and increased first-bullet recoil
Combat SMG – Reduced damage
One of the rifles got buffed. After time, the developers had to introduce a hotfix that correctly changed the values:
If you enter Fortnite today, you should feel a slight difference in the balance. However, it is not a big deal as most of the values have changed by 1-2.
