The 2019 Heavy Shotgun could return to Fortnite. Epic has updated the model by removing the crosshair

The Heavy Shotgun was removed from Fortnite in Update 7.30 and is now eligible for a return.

There is a lot of information in the Fortnite files about weapons, items, and mechanics that are to appear in Chapter 3. They also include the Heavy Shotgun, one of the players’ favorite weapons, which was removed in Update 7.30 on January 29, 2019.

The original weapon was added in Update 3.3.1, in 2018, when most of the current Fortnite community was yet to be introduced with the title. Epic has updated the model by removing the crosshair

Heavy shotgun may come back

As reported by HYPEX, Epic has updated the shotgun model. But it’s not just a value or color update. The developers have removed the sight from the weapon:

As the leaker writes, this may mean that Epic will want to bring this weapon back to Battle Royale. At the same time, however, it cannot be taken for granted. The developers could just as well have made this change to add the weapon to, for example, creative mode.

On the other hand, HYPEX writes that it is strange enough that such a change was only made for the creative mode. So, in short – the shotgun may come back, but it is not known when, to what mode, and if at all.
