Crowns are no longer something people struggle incredibly for, but it definitely still makes a nice addition to all of Fortnite.
Crowns in season 3 underwent a few changes. People can no longer get them in the so-called “bot lobby”, which seems to be a good solution to the problem of players who had over 1000 crowns farmed only on bots.
Due to the changes, it is now more difficult to obtain crowns, and although they are not as desirable anymore, many people still hunt for them. So it was quite fun to see one player steal the other’s crown while still in the lobby.
A beautiful reaction
One of the Reddit users with the nickname “lucci510” added a video of him stealing the crown from someone who accidentally left it. The player losing the crown quickly realized what had happened and ran towards the thief. But it was too late.
Players comment that such things do happen, though some throw away their crowns on purpose. What for? To make it harder for their opponents to locate them. People who care most about the result do not want to be seen from a distance and do not want to draw attention to themselves.
It’s worth remembering that having a crown also adds some XP, not too much, but still. This season it is definitely quite important because leveling is quite difficult.
The crowns themselves could certainly be changed in some way. Epic has announced several improvements or special prizes for a certain amount of crowns at the end of the season. Unfortunately, nothing like this has happened yet.
