Kick is to pay $16 per hour of streaming regardless of the number of viewers, but…

This could be a breakthrough or a maximum quick burn-through of money as far as Kick is concerned.

Several people have written to us about this, asking if it is actually true. Yes, but at this point relatively little is known about it, and the available information sometimes contradicts itself. Yes, Kick is actually communicating that it will pay $16 per hour with no minimum number of viewers during streams.

The requirements are:

  • Stream for 4 hours each day for 30 days.
  • Age of consent.
  • Being active during those 4 hours, interacting with viewers, etc.

$16 per hour on Kick

Sounds great, there is no information about the minimum number of viewers, etc. There is only one problem, at this point it is all unofficial. It’s being talked about behind the scenes, in individual streams, and tweets.

All indications are that it will not be so good. According to further news, it is supposed to be aimed at Kick partners under the new program (the conditions for joining are not yet known).

To get a partner on Kick, one must have a minimum of 75 viewers on streams, broadcast at least 12 days in the last 30, have at least 300 unique viewers on chat in the last 30 days, and have a minimum of 20 subs.

It’s unclear when this will officially come in, but $16 will probably depend in some way on the number of viewers. After all, it’s easy to imagine a situation where Jimmy, age 18, gets on Kick, streams Fortnite for his buddies, and earns a lot of money. Kick would quickly burn through the money and that’s it. So it needs to be controlled in some way. The version with partners seems to make sense.
