Valve actually took a community-created concept and changed the diamond medal.
Sometimes we mention different propositions or concepts of CS: GO players. Most of them never end up in the game, but there are exceptions like this one. Two weeks ago we wrote about a diamond medal that looks like a silver one.
The players suggested changing it to be more unique. The concept that was prepared was as follows:

Two weeks have passed and with the new update, Valve changed the medal without any additional information.
It’s a small thing, but it definitely makes people happy and shows that the community is still an important part of the game for developers. After all, no one would have even protested if it had not been changed in any way.
