Winter event in Pokemon GO – Shiny Bergmite, Mega Glalie and many more attractions

What should you know about Pokemon GO’s latest winter event? Here’s a list of all the attractions.

It’s time for the winter event in Pokemon GO, which will be one of the last attractions this year. The developers have prepared many interesting bonuses and surprises.

Among them will be the debut of a new Mega Evolution, but also creatures in winter outfits or themed tasks.

Winter holidays: part 1

The event began at 10 AM local time on Thursday, December 15, 2022, and will continue until 10 AM local time on Friday, December 23, 2022.

It’s the season of cheer, for Pokémon and Trainers alike!

Some new and familiar Pokémon faces are joining in the fun, and you and your Pokémon can look your winter best with brand new avatar items, poses, and more!

Join us for the first part of a two-part festive Winter Holiday event in Pokémon GO!

The following activities are planned for the occasion:

• Mega Glalie will make its Pokémon GO debut in Mega Raids!
• The following bonuses will be active:
  • 50% more XP for winning Raid Battles.
  • Trainers can store up to 40 Gifts until the end of the event.
• The following Pokemon will be appearing in the wild: Pikachu in a carnival winter costume, Swinub, Delibird, Snorunt, Spheal in a Christmas costume, Snover, Vanillite, Cubchoo, and Bergmite.
  • Anyone who is lucky will meet Alolan Vulpix, Stantler in Christmas costume, and Cryogonal.
• The following Pokémon will hatch from 7km eggs: Sneasel, Smoochum, Amaura, Bergmite, and Crabrawler.
• Those event opponents will appear during raids:
  • 1-star raids: Pikachu in a carnival winter costume, Alolan Vulpix, Spheal in a Christmas costume, Galarian Darumaka, Bergmite,
  • 3-star raids: Cloyster, Lapras, Stantler in Christmas costume, Glaceon in Christmas costume,
  • 5-star raid: Cobalion,
  • Mega Raid: Mega Glalie.

Eventowy Timed Research – „Winter Holiday”

For US$5.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll be able to access event-exclusive Timed Research.

Please note that the Winter Holiday Timed Research Ticket will only be available in the in-game shop from December 15, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. until December 30, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time!

Complete the research tasks to earn an event-themed avatar pose!

Other awards for Timed Research include:

• 2 incubators,
• 1 Incense,
• Abomasnow Mega Energy,
• encounters with various Pokemon associated with the event.

IMPORTANT: Please note that Timed Research expires. The tasks associated with Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before Saturday, December 31, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

Trainers will be able to purchase and gift tickets to any of their Pokémon GO friends that they have achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with. Please note that purchases—including those made for other Trainers—are non-refundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service). Tickets cannot be purchased with PokéCoins.

Event-themed Field Research tasks

• Field Research tasks with an event theme will be available.
• After completing the tasks, you will be able to encounter the following Pokémon:
  • Pikachu in a carnival winter costume, Alolan Vulpix, Seel, Shellder, Jynx, Stantler in a Christmas costume, Spheal in a Christmas costume, and Crabrawler.
• Anyone who is lucky will get Sneasel or Glaceon in a Christmas costume.
• You can get Mega Energy for Mega Abomasnow from event tasks.

Event stickers and cosmetic accessories

It will be possible to get event-themed stickers in the game – by spinning PokeStops, after opening gifts, or directly buying the chosen theme from the store.
