Astral Eclipse event in Pokemon GO. Everything you need to know

A new event in Pokemon GO has launched, and with it, new creatures have debuted.

Another event has started, bringing a lot of interesting attractions to the game. Among them will be brand new Pokemon, Special Research type tasks, new opponents in raids, and much more. Here’s a list of the highlights.

Astral Eclipse in Pokemon GO

The event began on November 23, 2022 (Wednesday) and will continue until Monday, November 28, 2022.

The following attractions are scheduled for the occasion:

• Solgaleo, a Pokemon of the Sun, and Lunala, a Pokemon of the Moon, will make their debut in Pokémon GO.
• The following Pokémon will appear in the wild: Alolan Rattata, Alolan Sandshrew, Clefairy, Alolan Vulpix, Staryu, Hoothoot, Sunkern, Lunatone, Solrock, Munna, Cottonee, Petilil, Yungoos.
• There will be themed opponents in the raids:
  • 1-star raids: Drifloon, Frillish, Inkay, Rockruff,
  • 3-star raids: Tentacruel, Druddigon, Hisuian Braviary,
  • 5-star raid: Nihilego,
  • Mega Raid: Mega Houndoom.
• Special Research “A Cosmic Companion” will be available in the game. The list of tasks can be found below.

Field Research tasks

There will be Field Research tasks available only for this event. Among the prizes will be a shiny Staryu.

New Collection Challenge

Collection Challenge with the Astral Eclipse event theme will appear in the game.

Completing the Astral Eclipse challenge will provide rewards in the form of additional Stardust.

• Solrock, Yungoos, Sunkern, Cottonee, Petilil, Alolan Vulpix.

Astral Eclipse: Moon Challenge
