The ESL is one of the most popular competition organizers in the world and has made the decision to exclude Russian teams from the Pro League that have “visible ties to the Russian government”. However, they decided to make a compromise.
The Russian players themselves will not be excluded from the tournament
ESL issued a statement in which it informs about its activities to support Ukraine and people who were affected by the war. It was also written about the decisions that will cover the upcoming ESL Pro League:
