CDPR has added a new take on Skellige from The Witcher 3. Will PC players notice any difference?

CDPR has released a new shot showing what the next-gen The Witcher 3 looks like in a view that many people should be familiar with.

All Witcher fans are already getting excited at the very thought of the upcoming release update. CDPR is well aware of this and drops new footage from time to time, further building up the hype.

Recently a shot was added, which, thrown just like that without much comparison, does not stir up any great excitement. It basically shows only that the game is pretty.

So what’s the comparison?

CDPR has published this shot:

What can be said about it? There is a lot of detail, nice lighting, you can actually see a very long distance. Meanwhile, this is what it currently looks like on PC:

There are certainly a few compromises apparent here. The farther away, the worse it gets. The trees under the mountains start to blur, there’s more fog, and the amount of detail is also less. But will this make any significant difference to the average PC gamer? It’s hard to say.
