On the occasion of the New Year’s event in Pokemon GO (see: Today starts the New Year’s event in Pokemon GO. List of all tasks and rewards), new opponents in raids have been added to the game. Many of them appear in the New Year’s Eve version, i.e. in themed costumes.

What is the list of available raids and what is the best way to counter individual opponents?

Current raids in Pokemon GO

Tier 5 – 5-star raids

Kyurem

  • Type: dragon, ice
  • Region: Unova
  • Vulnerable to:
    • fairy, steel, dragon, rock, fighting – 160%
  • Resistant to:
    • water, grass, electric – 63%
  • The best pokemon for the raid: Kyurem (Black), Palkia, Rayquaza, Salamence, Metagross.

Tier 3 – 3-star raids

New Year’s Raticate

Raticate is the evolution of Rattata. It is possible to catch the shiny version. During the raid, it appears in the New Year’s version.

  • Resistant to:
    • ghost – 39%

Machamp

Machamp is the third evolution of Machop.

Nidorino

Nidorino is the evolution of Nidoran. Evolves into Nidoking. It is possible to catch the shiny version. During the raid, it appears in the New Year’s version.
