Why is it risky to play LoL with Faker? Streamer banned right after the game ended

League of Legends

Famous streamer – TheBausffs – lost his League of Legends account on the Korean server after playing with Faker.

TheBausffs is one of League of Legends’ most famous streamers. His Twitch channel is followed by over 650,000 people. He mainly plays top lane, and his “trademark” pick is Sion and his unusual int’ing tactic. He was banned for using it in the past.

Almost a month ago, on April 1, he moved to the Korean server, which is considered a bit different from other regions. The main difference is the high level, where the style of play is deviating from the norm and everyone is a mechanical god there. However, his adventure did not last long, as after playing with Faker, he was banned for an unusual reason.

TheBausffs reaches challenger and gets banned

The 22-year-old streamer from Sweden is known all over the world. Especially his Sion and the saying “solo bolo”. Due to the fact that the highest rank of Challenger at EUW has been well known to him for several years, he decided to try his hand at the Korean server. Among League of Legends players, it is famous not only for a higher level of playing than in any other region but also for a different playstyle. Especially at a high level.

Less than a month ago, on April 1, he started playing “in Korea” together with other internet creators like TFBlade or Midbeast. The goal of the challenge was to reach the highest possible rank, which only the best 300 players can enter. He did it after playing for 24 days and finishing around 360 games.

Now his progress has stopped due to the account blockade. At first, everyone was sure it was related to the last game he played against the world-famous T1 mid laner, Faker. He used his “int’ing” tactic again, for which he was banned several times in the past and unfortunately lost.

Gamers quickly picked up the situation and dubbed it “Faker Incident” and some even accused the professional gamer of reporting the streamer. There were also theories that the system responsible for observing Faker’s games (which, by the way, has a serious problem with people losing games on purpose – CLICK), detected strange behavior and an attempt at inting, which blocked the account.

However, the truth turned out to be quite different, because the message displayed in Korean about the reason for the ban is not about “dying on purpose”, but about account theft.

On his game stream, Thebausffs himself laughed after getting 2/18/9 that he was “not feeling well”, but admitted that he was not worried about the ban. On Twitter, he added that it was probably a bug and asked his community not to panick.

At the moment, it is not known how long it will take for Riot to unban the account. The fact that his games were recorded on the stream will certainly help, and the victim himself is a popular creator and partner of League of Legends, so he has direct contact with the developers.
