The most important information about the new LoL champions revealed by Riot so far

What is known about the characters that will be added to Summoner’s Rift over the next few months?

Over the past year, there have been several announcements related to new League of Legends characters. Initially, Riot said very little, throwing only vague descriptions.

Over time, a few graphics referring to the characters and a bit more information about them (both official and those from leaks) arrived. Here is a summary of what is known today.

Highlights of upcoming champions

A few days ago, Rioter Ryan “Reav3” Mireles was asked when a new League of Legends roadmap will be released. It turns out that this one will be published either at the end of this month or at the beginning of the next one.

For this reason, the players decided to summarize what has been published on the Internet so far, and there is quite a lot of it, as Riot mentioned as many as several new champions.

Naafiri
(middle assasin)

Naafiri will be a new Darkin, who will have a demonic appearance, which means she will be the monster that the developers have been announcing for some time in discussions with the community. Today it is known that the heroine will be associated with a dog theme (which has appeared more than once in her previews). In addition, she will most likely be able to share in a pack or create her clones.

We know that many of you love complex heroes and complicated skill descriptions. But others prefer to focus on macro play and rely on an easy-to-understand set of abilities in combat. If you belong to the latter group, I have good news – Naafiri is the Darkin for you! She’s a middle-lane assassin, made for anyone who prefers to focus on hunting. Having been awakened from her sleep, her first goal is to track down her Darkin brothers. Her new body… or bodies… will initially be like a cruel twist of fate, but will eventually prove to be quite a useful tracking tool

Vampire from the Black Castle
Hungry jungler

The next hero to join Summoner’s Rift is expected to be a champion from Noxus, whose theme will be Black Castle.

About three months ago, one of the Rioters made the following comments about him:

There is also a certain hungry jungler waiting for us somewhere on the horizon. At the moment, however, it is too early to talk about this topic, although we will certainly return to them in future announcements.

Another of the employees spoke of the champion in these words:

I would like to make a full-fledged Vampire. I never had the chance, maybe someday they’ll let me. A vampire would be super cool. Turning into a bat and sucking the blood out of enemies and stuff. It would be really cool.

Ink mage
Artistic midlaner

The third announced character is a mage who is an artist. His announcement was related to a drawn tower, which in time turned out to be a building from Ionia (described in leaks as a “high house”).

According to the creators, the ink mage is a champion concept that Riot worked on many years ago but decided to return to his idea. About six years ago, the project proved too difficult to realize, so it was put on hold.

Not much is known about it. It is rumored that the mage is to be largely associated with his super-skill, which will “draw elements on the map.”

Hunter from Freljord

Unfortunately, the least is known about this champion. There is a very small leak that says that the League of Legends developers are working on a heroine who comes from the well-known Freljord. It’s hard to say exactly who she will be. The Huntress is expected to use an unknown type of weapon and will probably be an ADC or a top lane character.
