League of Legends item disabled because it allowed gold to be generated indefinitely

Unlimited gold in League of Legends, which allows you to finish a build before 20 minutes.

League of Legends is known for not being perfect, and every now and then you can encounter bugs in the game that no one would expect. On the web, you can find channels that are fully dedicated to catching and discussing bugs. Some of them have a greater and some have a lesser impact on gameplay – this time it’s about an item for supporters that helps maintain vision – Watchful Wardstone.

The exploit allows you to get a huge amount of gold without leaving your base, which can provide a full build without much effort. This, in turn, will certainly contribute to the outcome of team fights.

Infinite gold in LoL

The new glitch was discovered on April 11 and allows supporters to deviate from their standard builds thanks to unlimited gold.

Developers quickly responded to the exploit by disabling the item causing it, while announcing that it is beginning work on a solution to the problem.

The glitch was discovered when one player wanted to sell Vigilant Wardstone, an upgraded version of Watchful Wardstone. After selling the item, he could buy the basic version of the item and then sell the more expensive one without leaving his base.

The gold gained after a while was enough to complete a build consisting of 6 items at a time when other players had at most 3 full items. The advantage could certainly be enough to turn the tide in a team fight, or even tip the balance of victory to the other side.

A video appeared on the Asian Youtube channel 롤벅 LoL Bug, which shows how the bug can change the course of gameplay, providing support with so much gold that it was able to complete the build under carry.

This is not the debut of a similar bug in League of Legends. Last year, it was possible to encounter a bug that made putting control wards in the base generate gold if you had Watchful Wardstone.

The bug has been fixed for the moment, so it will no longer affect future League of Legends games. However, it is difficult to assess how the developers will address the players who decided to exploit it by gaining an advantage in gold and buying items that allowed to win matches in a much simpler way.
