What have the designers of League of Legends improved in the upcoming VFX update of Nami?

Relatively recently, Riot announced that Nami and Twisted Fate will receive updates to visual and audio effects. The Legendary Twisted Fate skin will finally get the content he has long been missing, and Nami’s skills will look much better looking at today’s standards.

However, the changes announced were not without any controversy. The largest of them this time concerns one of Nami’s skills – Aqua Prison – i.e. her Q. Fans accuse the creators that the skill is now much more visible, which translates into a more difficult hit of the opponent (Why Nami VFX changes may not appeal to mains of this LoL character? The heroine’s indirect nerfs).

Designers, as is usually the case with this type of update, try to listen to the community and make additional adjustments where they consider them appropriate. What has been refined this time in the Nami VFX update?

What did the developers improve?

About a week ago, the designers at Riot Games shared the exact look and feel of the abilities and models of the new version of Nami. All of the heroine’s skills have received significant changes, which you can take a closer look at in another article (Nami’s VFX update is coming to League of Legends. How does the refreshed version of the heroine look like?).

A lot of fans didn’t like Q’s new animation. They think the ability stands out too much on Summoner’s Rift now, and it’s much easier to avoid it. Quite a few people commenting on the topic expected Riot to somehow make the skill less visible. However, the published list of additional fixes may dissapoint a part of the community.

The VFX update is expected to hit live servers in Update 12.10. Even though there are still a few days left to release, Nami fans shouldn’t count on the heroine receiving the fixes that the community expected. The creators will certainly be looking at the character right after the update is released so that her strength does not drop significantly. If necessary, Nami will be sure to receive a buff.
