Riot boasts about the results of Worlds in LoL. The most unique champions in years have been selected

Worlds 2022 surprises again. This time the most unique characters were chosen.
One of the Rioters showed off the statistics of this year’s Worlds 2022. It turns out that their balance is really good, and many pros decided to choose unique characters.
Besides, the total number of liquidations per minute was also compared. So what do the Worlds 2022 statistics look like?
Worlds 2022 statistics
The League of Legends 2022 professional competition is no longer as keenly followed live as it was in previous years. The time zone and uninviting match times are probably responsible for this. However, it turns out that there is something to watch and it’s worth looking at least at the replays.
It turns out that this year the pool of heroes is very extensive, as 107 have already been selected so far. This gives more than 66% of all those present in the game. Such statistics were boasted by Rioter Matt Leung-Harrioson on his Twitter account:
As you can see, matches are a bit slower at the beginning. Players less often decide to take risks and get gold from eliminating their opponents in the early stages of the game. In the end, however, the fights start in the group stage, and this is where the most interesting action happens.
The employee claims that this is due to the endurance update in patch 12.10 and the changes to Herald and Dragon in update 12.14. Moreover, a big impact was made by the changes aimed just towards Worlds – patch 12.17 and 12.18. It was commented on by Spideraxe, who hopes that next year the selection rate will reach 70%, which is not impossible.
The last matches of the Championship are scheduled for 5 pm ET on October 29, where T1 will face JDG in the semifinals. The second semifinal will take place on Sunday at 4 pm ET and there DRX and Gen.G. The final, meanwhile, will take place on Sunday, November 5 at 7 pm ET.
