News in skins for Worlds 2022 winners. Prestige edition of one of them
Prestige Edition of one of the skins for the winners of the 2022 World Championship.
Like every year, the players getting the title of World Champion will not only get prestige and cash but also their own skins for the characters they choose for themselves. It also comes with a frame, ward, and their signatures on the skin card and when returning to base.
However, their next edition will be unique. In addition to the skins themselves, there will be a little unique already Prestige Edition to one character.
Prestige to Worlds 2022 skins
There is an unbroken tradition in League of Legends since season 1. The team that wins the biggest and most important tournament – the World Championship – can choose a team-themed skin for their favorite character. However, the contender must play at least one game during the event with it.
Now a small modification has been announced, which could bring confusion to the winning team. The developers have announced a Prestige Edition to one of the skins:
The Worlds Winner Showcase will feature the 5-6 champions selected by the winning team’s players who actively competed during Worlds. The skinline design will be inspired by the winning team’s colors as well as the Worlds 2022 theme. New this year, we will be creating a Prestige skin version of one of the champions included in the winner selections!
At this point nothing more is known and how it will be obtained. It will probably be made available for Mythic Essence, but Riot’s plans for monetizing the content are not so easy to predict.
