LoL patch 13.1 – Who gets nerfs and who gets buffs? We know the plans for the first update of the 2023 season

League of Legends developers have revealed plans for the upcoming update – patch 13.1.
January has started, so many LoL players are waiting for the start of the new 2023 season. As you know, in previous years, the opening of the season and the release of the animation promoting it took place around the middle of the month (see: When will the 2023 LoL season launch? A new cinematic from League of Legends is coming soon). Not surprisingly, the community is currently waiting for any new information from the developers.
Rioters have decided to announce specific plans for the first update in the new season, as well as the recently started year, numbered 13.1. Which heroes receive buffs, and which will be weakened?
Buffs and nerfs in patch 13.1
Riot Phlox has announced the planned changes to champions and items that will hit the game in patch 13.1. As the update number indicates, this will be the first patch for the 2023 season, which Rioter says will start as early as January 10.
For champions we’re still mostly looking at soloq outliers as we head toward season start (10th). We’re also buffing up a number of underpowered items and adjusting Jak’Sho to make it less valuable on fighters.
We’re also looking into doing some changes to sustain in the fighter system that’ll be coming in the next few patches, though details for that aren’t yet fully hashed out so more info will come later.
The larger Yuumi changes are still in the works but we’re nerfing her this patch since she remains very highly banned.
