When will the 2023 LoL season launch? A new cinematic from League of Legends is coming soon

LoL players are waiting for the release of a new animation from LoL, which will promote the 2023 season.

All animations created by Riot in recent years are productions of really high quality. According to many, they are small works of art that delight in terms of graphics as well as sound. The opening videos of new seasons in League of Legends usually tell some kind of story that showcases some of the Summoner’s Rift heroes known to the public. Everything is accompanied by great and goosebump-inducing music. What will it be like this year?

New cinematic and season 2023

As it was mentioned a few days ago, the exact start date of the latest season in League of Legends is not known, but based on the dates of previous years, it can be deduced that the opening of the 2023 season will take place in January, which is very soon.

This is what the dates from 2018 – 2022 look like:

  • Season 8
    • January 16, 2018
  • Season 9
    • January 23, 2019
  • Season 10
    • January 10, 2020
  • Season 11
    • January 8,
  • Season 12
    • January 7, 2022

It can be noted that all openings took place in January. Admittedly, there were quite a few discrepancies between them, as Season 12 started at the very beginning of the month, while Season 9 started at the end.

According to fans, a video promoting the season opener can be expected soon. Below you can notice when the individual animations – Awaken, Warriors, Ruination, and The Call – were published on YouTube. As in the previous case – all the premieres took place on similar days.

For the time being, it is not known who the new cinematic will depict. As always, we can assume that the animation will be at a really high level and will delight the community both visually and musically.

On the Internet, you can read statements from many players who are already looking forward to the upcoming release.

Riot has been so silent about the season start, the cinematic and everything. A date would be enough, just like VALORANT is doing. Either way should be this week or early next week if we take in consideration the past 4 years. I hope to see some champions I play there!
