League of Legends has appeared on the Microsoft Store. There is only one small problem

Gamers have laughed at the way LoL is being presented on the Microsoft Store.

An announcement was made online that games released by Riot Games had been added to xbox.com. There would be nothing special about this, and probably many people would have forgotten about this information after a while, if not for the fact that there is something wrong with the LoL gallery.

It seems that someone has confused League of Legends and presented screenshots from another game in the gallery. What exactly is the issue?

A strange gallery from League of Legends

At first glance, the League of Legends page on the Microsoft Store doesn’t look bad. You can read that it is a game published by Riot, consists of multiplayer online battles, and is one of the most popular titles of the MOBA genre.

Showcase your skills in the ultimate 5v5 battle arena that combines team strategy with solo mastery. Pick your role, perfect your build, and fight your way across the map to destroy the enemy Nexus. Always free to play—may the best team win.

So where is the problem, and why are so many fans laughing about it? Just look at the graphics that are in the gallery.

It doesn’t need to be explained to anyone that this is a really strange way to present a game that looks completely different from what is shown in the images. Players laugh that someone who chose the graphics for the gallery confused League of Legends with Wild Rift.

The posted screenshots in no way represent the actual gameplay, i.e. battles on Summoner’s Rift or Howling Abyss, for example. While people who are familiar with LoL know what the game really looks like, quite a few new people may be misled.

In addition to League of Legends, other games from Riot have also appeared in the Microsoft Store, namely Valorant and Legends of Runeterra, among others.

And while in the case of the rest of the titles the gallery shows the actual gameplay, players cannot understand what happened to the LoL screenshots. Perhaps this is a simple mistake and the graphics will soon be replaced with actual Summoner’s Rift screenshots.
