Huge healing nerfs on PBE in LoL. Most items with lifesteal will experience them

League of Legends

Riot starts taking care of healing items in LoL and weakens them.

For many seasons, League of Legends players have argued that healing items are too strong and difficult to play against. Currently, the problem is so big that in virtually every game there is an anti-heal being built.

Major changes to most lifesteal items have now been made on the Test Server. According to Riot, this will be to match the effect with other stats. What do nerfs look like?

Healing nerfs

Every few weeks, a post about issues with healing appears on the League players community forum. Developers started looking into this topic in December 2021, when they were to nerf not only the effects of lifesteal, but also damage. Ultimately, this rework was abandoned, and now it returns in a slightly different form, and it only concerns the heal.

It’s almost a month until the next update, 12.6, and it won’t be released until March 30th. Such a long break gives Riot a lot of time to test. The developers decided to use it on checking the heal nerfs. Here’s what changed on PBE:

  • Vampiric Scepter:
    • Lifesteal: 10% >>> 8%
  • Immortal Shieldbow:
    • Lifesteal: 10% >>> 8%
    • HP for each legendary item: 50 >>> 70
  • Blade of the Ruined King:
    • Lifesteal: 10% >>> 8%
  • Bloodthirster:
    • Lifesteal: 20% >>> 15%
    • AD: 55<60
  • Runa: Legend: Bloodline:
    • Lifesteal per charge: 0.6 >>> 0.4%
    • At maximum stacks, grants 100 bonus HP

Riot TheTruexy commented on the subject. He explained that every statistic has its drawback. As an example, he mentioned high damage at the cost of survivability or the absorption of damage by tanks and low damage.

Rioter described the changes as a “system pass” to re-evaluate the cost of sustain. This probably means that the developers are just testing the lowered Lifesteal, and a lot can change in a month’s time.
