Does voting for new LoL skin lines make any sense? The players are very annoyed
The League of Legends community says picking skin lines in voting makes no sense. Why?
As most people probably know, Riot offers players the opportunity to vote on what will appear in the game from time to time. It’s about both heroes’ rework and new skin lines.
Many players believed that what wins in individual polls actually has a higher priority in the eyes of the creators, and thus – will be made well so as not to disappoint the expectations of the community.
In practical terms, it is a bit different, which annoys players a lot. Some people even wonder if the polls offered to LoL fans have any meaning.
Voting for skins and players being irritated
Yesterday, the appearance of three new skins for LoL – Monster Tamer was shown. Skins from this series will be given to Lulu, Veigar, and Kog’Maw.
It cannot be said that the new cosmetic accessories were particularly warmly received – many players have expressed great dissatisfaction with both the choice of the theme and the champions that will get the skin.
Some people wondered who actually wanted this type of add-ons. After delving into the artistic tags you can see on Twitter that most LoL fans who post there would prefer the return of other famous themes, such as Spirit Blossom. For many people, the Monster Tamer series is completely unnecessary.

Whats the point of skin polls if the winner skinline doesnt get the main spotlight?
Last season we had a skin poll just like for this year and Crime City Nightmare won the skin poll. We were promised that skin would come the same year and the other candidates had a chance to be released along the way.
Months later we get the desired skin line but all we get is just a filler patch with NO borders, no event and no legendary. Meanwhile Debonair which had the 2nd place in the poll got its own pass, event chromas, border sets and a legendary.
This PBE we got teased Monster Tamer skins and despite it being just 3 skins they got their own emotes, icons and border sets.
This kills the purpose of these votes. Isnt the winner supposed to get the best highlight? Its like waiting for your birthday guests to come but someone invites all your friends to a different party at that time.
Winning the poll should feel special, why should I even want my skin line to win if in the end it doesnt even matter which one wins? When in the end its up to Riot, not us which one gets the most content.
Moving forward, we had another skin poll this year and Gothic won. Hopefully they deliver this time with the winner skin line and we dont see the 3rd place get full on event, theme and much more work put into it than the winner skin line.
