Do you remember Brenvar, the fan champion for LoL? The concept returned with an animated presentation
One of the LoL fans decided to remind players about the amazing concept of a champion, which in its time caused a huge stir among the game community.
There are a lot of fan-made character and skin concepts appearing on the internet every month. Gamers come up with amazing things, create polished graphics and animations. Unfortunately, not every idea gets through to a wider audience. Most of them are quickly forgotten and not talked about after a month or a year.
Sometimes, however, it happens that the concept of a hero or skin is so good and unique that even the Rioters themselves start talking about it. These types of ideas live much longer and often come back to them after many years. Recently, there was an article about the fan skin for Anivia, which was developed over several years. An idea that was born in 2014, and in 2022 the VFX appeared –Incredibly advanced skin concept for Anivia – full VFX, in-game model, and splash art.
This time it’s not about a fan skin, but about the hero’s concept, which at the time of publication conquered the internet and even the Rioters commented on it. It’s about Brenvar, of course.

Over a year ago, an extensive project of a new champion was released, which could be added to Summoner’s Rift. The author of the described concept is Albert “halfy” Bednarski, a graphic artist living in Germany. He worked on his project for 4 months, but what he created was worth the time and dedication.
The concept quickly won the hearts of players because it was incredibly complex and pampered. The author has created detailed descriptions of the skills along with their short presentation, a lot of concept art, and even Brenvar’s lore, who, according to the fan story, is the son of Hejian and the brother of Kalkia. Fans interested in the League of Legends storyline quickly noticed the connection to Sejuani as Hejian was her grandmother and Kalkia was her mother.
The concept turned out to be so good that even the Rioters praised it. Lead Gameplay Designer Mark Yetter, aka Riot Scruffy, did not hide his delight and wrote in one of the comments that he could not stop watching Brenvar’s great skills. Rioter praised the author and added that he has a bright future when it comes to the gaming industry.
More than a year has passed since the publication of Brenvar. Some fans have already forgotten about him, but one of them decided to create an animated preview of this hero.
He published his project on Reddit. The video garnered much praise and shortly after its publication, it had over 14,000 reactions.

Admittedly, the whole story is unique in its own way. The fan concept is rarely so popular and a year after its publication, one of the fans returns to the project to create its continuation.
Such situations show that the League of Legends community is incredibly creative and can surprise. Who knows, maybe Brenvar will come back. Some people believe that Riot will use this idea and the hero will really appear on Summoner’s Rift.
