Dying Light 2 was delayed until 2022. What is the reason for this?

Dying Light 2 is not as close as it seemed. Developers are delaying the game’s release until 2022.

Dying Light 2 is a title that is talked about all over the world. We mentioned the production of Techland a few months ago and it seemed then that the title was close to its premiere. Unfortunately, as reported on social media, the game will be delayed until February 4, 2022. What is the reason for this decision?

Techland does not want to repeat the mistake of CD Projekt Red?

Paweł Marchewka, the CEO of Techland, explained that making such a decision was caused by the desire to “polish and optimize” Dying Light 2.

The team is steadily progressing with the production and the game is nearing the finish line. The game is complete and we are curently playtesting it. It is by far the biggest and the most ambitious project we’ve ever done. Unfortunately, we’ve realized for us to bring the game to the level we envision, we need more time to polish and optimize it.

So it seems that the developers do not want to make a similar mistake to their colleagues from CD Projekt Red, who released Cyberpunk 2077 with a huge bang, which eventually led to a huge amount of ‘complainants’ from the community.

It is worth adding that this decision does not affect the events for the press and content creators that are to announce the game.
