A sure sign of the times. Valve is officially changing the Team Fortress 2 signature on Steam.

What exactly has changed in one of Team Fortress 2’s graphics?

Team Fortress 2 has been relatively buzzed about recently. A lot of the credit goes to the game’s 15th anniversary, which the game celebrated on October 10. For many gamers, it was their first production in the FPS genre, and for this reason, they feel a great fondness for Valve’s game. Team Fortress, despite its age, continues to enjoy considerable popularity – it is still among the top five most popular games on all of Steam.

On its birthday, one change was made to the game, which a sizable number of fans may not have noticed. One of the graphics on the platform was changed, and gamers who noticed it began to joke about the fix. What exactly is different about the banner that could be found on Steam?

TF2 banner change

Team Fortress 2 fans have noticed that one of the banners, rearranging the name of the game and the characters the player can play, has been slightly changed. A quote that came from one of PC Gamer’s articles has been removed from the graphic.

Commenting on the change, fans jokingly wrote that the gameplay would never be as fun as before. However, it was pointed out that the amendment was most likely forced by a change in the rules of the store. There was a mention in it, which prohibits the posting of ratings from Steam or external news sources on graphic resources.

The content of the thumbnails with base graphic resources is limited to the game graphics, the name of the game and any official subtitle. For clarity, this means:

  • No ratings of any kind, including ratings on Steam or from external news sources.

The fix should not affect gameplay in any way, and its release, which coincided with the game’s 15th birthday, is simply an interesting coincidence.
