LeBron James makes no secret of his dissatisfaction with Squid Game. What exactly is he talking about?
Although Squid Game is the most popular series of the last month and it does not look like it will lose its high position in the coming weeks, not everyone likes the series.
Many people do not spare themselves criticism and openly express their opinions about the show, at the same time encouraging discussion. That’s what LeBron James did, making the main creator of the South Korean series quite mad.

LeBron James is an American basketball player who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA, thus being a very popular celebrity among the sports community. Some time ago, a short video from a conference attended by an NBA player was published on Twitter. On it you can hear his conversation with another man about Squid Game and his opinion about the end of the series, and interestingly – his opinion was not positive.
It turns out that the director of Squid Game, Hwang Dong Hyuk, found out about this situation himself, and soon after that he decided to respond sharply to the NBA player. During an interview with The Guardian, he was asked what he thought about LeBron James’ criticism of his production. As a journalist describes, Hwang Dong Hyuk reportedly laughed before responding:
LeBron James is cool and can say whatever he wants. I respect that and am really grateful that he watched the entire show. But I wouldn’t change my ending. This is my ending. If [LeBron James] had created his own ending to satisfy him, maybe he could make his own sequel. Then I will check it out and maybe send him a message saying: “I liked your whole show, except the ending”.
You can see that Hwang Dong Hyuk is totally serious about his production and has his own vision of Squid Game. Perhaps his harsh response was to herald something else Squid Game fans do not know and will appear in the second season of the series.

It is true that there is no confirmed information anywhere on whether the next part of the popular title will appear at all. Hwang Dong Hyuk himself revealed that he is not entirely sure himself, but the open ending of the series may herald that the second season will finally be released sooner or later, and then we will see what the ending of the first part was really about.
