Counter Strike

CS: GO has become so common and popular that lecturers at Cambridge University talk about it.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has been in production for almost ten years, and the game has its previous releases dating back to 1999. Therefore, it is not surprising that the production has become so popular that it is mentioned by university lecturers. Interestingly, the topic of CS also appeared during one of the lectures at the University of Cambridge.

Why was CS: GO mentioned in the lecture?

The photo below shows an element of a presentation from a lecture at a UK university. Its theme was human-computer interaction. On the slide with CS: GO, the not-so-exciting subject of automation (config and autoexec) was discussed, but it’s still interesting that FPS also appears during scientific arguments.

In a way, the game is now history and will surely be remembered for a long time, even after it eventually collapses in the future. In any case, so far CS: GO is doing better and better, according to the latest statistics – you can read more about them in this article.

This title is so popular that it became a part of the culture. Therefore, this is probably not the only lecture where CS was mentioned.
