This is what CSGO players expect from Source 2. Unreal, but it looks great
One of the players shows what he thinks De_Cache might look like someday.
CS: GO is a game that primarily focuses on competition. So it’s no surprise that in many cases developers have made the maximum concessions just to make CS transparent.
If it wanted to, Counter-Strike could easily compete with Battlefield or Call of Duty. This is proved by one of the players who tried to create a slightly more graphically advanced version of De_Cache.

It looks great
Unfortunately, this frame is only an edition and a part of a longer video. Valve will never be tempted to do something like that, even on Source 2. It also seems that players simply do not expect it, because after all, CS is not played for graphics.
Counter Strike is to be transparent, legible and simple in its structure. All this so that the final result is primarily about skills, not whether it is a bit darker in a given place on the map and harder to see the player’s model.
