The Russian CSGO team called their squad “Players”. This generates some unexpected problems

The squad of Gambit and Virtus.pro cannot represent the colors of their organizations in the ESL Pro League. They appear under neutral names.
Due to the situation in Ukraine, the players of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive from the Gambit and Virtus.pro flags could not represent their organizations at the ESL Pro League.
Nevertheless, the organizers allowed them to play under a neutral name and without the team shirts. They had to come up with the names of their squads, and the Gambit players’ idea creates some problems for commentators and the studio crew.
Gambit’s name generates linguistic problems in the studio and for commentators
Below you can see a screenshot of the ESL broadcast during the “Players” match between Gambit and Party Astronauts. It is mainly about the bottom information bar with information that sounds linguistically strange due to the name of the Russian formation:
„Players commit player on player violence to lead 1-0”
The word “player”, repeated three times, made the CS: GO community laugh. Additionally, it was a bit of a challenge for commentators who had to avoid the word “players” in order not to form sentences like “Players in the” Player “squad are preparing to take over BS B”.
