S1mple supports its homeland with more than just words. A CSGO player financially supported the Ukrainian army
S1mple strongly supports Ukraine with its public speeches and posts in social media, but it does not end with words.
S1mple is considered the best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player in the world, so it is not surprising that the Ukrainian is an idol for many, and at the same time the voice of the young generation. He recently gave a very important speech at IEM Katowice, which we reported here.
With his words, he touched many hearts around the world and showed people how serious the situation is. But it wasn’t just words.
S1mple supported the Ukrainian army with a million hryvnias
As you know, the Russian invasion of Ukraine began when s1mple and the rest of the Natus Vincere team were in Poland at the IEM Katowice tournament. The player cannot physically support his homeland, but he decided to do it, for example, by providing financial support to the Ukrainian army. In his social media, he published a screenshot with a list of transfers for this purpose with the annotation:
At least that’s how I can help my country. Take care of yourself.
It is hard to imagine how difficult the situation is now for s1mple and many other Ukrainians who are outside their country. The Ukrainian pro gamer probably did not want to provide his support solely through words and decided to make such a gesture. 1 million hryvnias is approximately $ 33,000.
