More and more players will be disappearing from CSGO MMs? Faceit focuses on development, as indicated by the latest update

Counter Strike

The competitive mode in CS: GO, and above all the anti-cheat, raises a lot of controversies. More players will move to Faceit?

Some Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players have for many years decided to completely abandon the matchmaking that Valve offers on their servers and move to other platforms. Of course, we are talking about ESEA or Faceit. The latter is starting to focus on its development, which may result in more and more people leaving MMs. Especially since Faceit seems to have better protection against cheaters.

From the last update, it can be concluded that Faceit is going to grow a lot

The development of Faceit could mean further drops of players on Valve’s servers. If the platform introduces more essential features, it’s possible that quite a few people will decide to move there completely. In the content of the last update you can read:

Today’s blog will talk about our first product update in 2022, which contains several new features, new changes, and new ways to play going live on FACEIT today. While we are excited to watch you unpack today’s update, we know there is still a long journey ahead of us to take the FACEIT matchmaking experience to the level we want. We are currently working with our heads down on many new improvements that we can’t wait to share with you soon.

What exactly did the last update introduce?

The most important changes to Faceit that were introduced with the March update include:

  • The function of blocking players in matchmaking,
  • Wingman’s queuing system restore permanently,
  • The ability to play Deathmatch FFA servers on Faceit via the server browser. This feature is called Quickplay,
  • NA region matchmaking changes.

The above changes seem to be really positive. At the moment, more updates announced by the platform’s owners are to be expected.
