A theory began to circulate among the CS: GO community about a possible release date for Source 2.
There have been a lot of such theories in the past, so you have to approach this one with a certain distance. In fact, however, it has appeared in many places and is, for some reason, quoted more often than others.
According to it, one of these biggest tournaments could be the moment when Valve wants to announce the transition to Source 2.
When can this happen?
As one Twitter user writes, the update may be announced near the Major in Rio, i.e. in October or November 2022. This is one of the most hyped tournaments, such an announcement would make sense.
Unfortunately, this is just an unsubstantiated theory that does not have to completely prove itself. Valve may as well not announce anything or do it on a completely different date. Players have been waiting for announcements during a tournament before, and nothing has come of it.
