Changing the radar in CSGO with one command. This is a proposal that has reached Valve

Counter Strike

The players proposed to add one simple command to CS: GO that would change the radar.

In CS: GO, there are a whole lot of different types of commands that players can use to customize virtually every element of the game. From time to time, the community proposes to add something new that can help make CS clearer.

Now there is a proposal to add a command that would allow you to easily switch the map view from one showing only a small fragment to the one with the entire location. Simple, and in fact can be useful in some cases.

Quick map change

The players suggested that Valve add a command that could be assigned to a specific key – it would be responsible for changing the map view:

Certainly, such an option would be very helpful, especially for new players and their early adventures with CS: GO. Of course, it can be done right now. To do this, use the following commands:

cl_radar_always_centered “0” cl_radar_scale “0.3” cl_hud_radar_scale “1.15” cl_radar_icon_scale_min “1” cl_radar_rotate “1” cl_radar_square_with_scoreboard “1”

However, this is quite a simplification, but it works. Some people play this way, thanks to which, as they write, they see and understand more. This proposal is known to have reached Valve. Now the only question is whether the developers will decide to fulfill the community’s requests.
