In September last year, an important update was introduced to CS: GO, which greatly exacerbated the problem of side inequality.
Many online games rely on constant balance rotation. Valve took a completely different path. Weapon changes are practically non-existent at this point. From time to time, however, developers will change something, and this was the case in September 2021.
The update released then changed the mechanics of grenades, weakened the Deagle, changed Dust 2, but also buffed the M4A1-S and increased the damage dealt by this weapon on the CT side. As the statistics show, it really had a big impact on the balance.
CT now has an advantage on all maps
As the “pley” service shows, CT currently has a huge advantage when it comes to any map. Before the September update, it looked more even.

Valve needs to see this and research if it has any negative impact on gameplay. It is not known if the developers will do anything about it, but players are clearly starting to pay attention to it. There are more and more topics related to balance and the need to level the chances of both sides.
