A few days ago, it became notorious about one of the streamers, who, according to the developer, published a homophobic comment online – CLICK. Shortly after that, the operator skins that were associated with the streamer were removed from Call of Duty.

In solidarity with the online developer, Dr. Disrespect deleted the game from Activision during his broadcast, and TimTheTatman asked that his set also be removed from the store.

TimTheTatman’s set removed from MW2 store

After a controversial comment from a streamer with the nickname Nickmercs was published online, Activision decided to remove the streamer’s set from Call of Duty, as it considered his statement harmful. From his explanation, one could learn that while he has no intention of apologizing, he had no bad intentions when writing his post and did not want to offend anyone with it. However, this did not change the developer’s decision.

Other online developers did not hide their surprise, and some of them decided to support the streamer, showing him that he was not alone. Dr. Disrespect removed Call of Duty on his broadcast, and TimTheTatman applied to the game’s developers for his skin set to disappear from the store as well.

Shortly after the post was published, there was a response from the developers.

At Tim’s request, we have removed TimTheTatman’s operator kit from the Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone stores.

The community has mixed opinions about it. Many regret not taking the time to purchase the set while it was still in the store.
