Pokemon GO developers have revealed who will be the Community Day hero in May.
May has begun, so it’s time to announce the creature that will receive its Community Day this month. It turns out that the main character of the event will be a Generation VI Pokemon, one of the starters of the Kalos region.
Fennekin Community Day in Pokemon GO
The upcoming Community Day will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2023, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
The following activities are planned for the occasion:
- Fennekin will make more frequent wild appearances. Anyone who is lucky will get a shiny version.
- Evolving Braixen during the event or up to five hours after the event will give a Delphox knowing Aura Sphere charged attack.
- An event-related Special Research: Fur and Flames will be available.
- There will also be Timed Research and Field Research tasks related to the event.
- The following bonuses will be active during the event:
- 3 times more Stardust for catching Pokémon,
- 2 times more candy for catching Pokemon,
- double chance for trainers at level 31 and above to receive Candy XL for catching Pokemon,
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours,
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will work for three hours,
- After making snapshots during the Community Day event, you will receive a surprise.
- One additional special exchange can be made – a total of two exchanges per day.

Bonus raids after Community Day event
From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. local time on Sunday, May 21, 2023
After the three-hour Community Day event ends, Trainers will be able to take on unique four-star Raid Battles. Claiming victory in one of these raids will cause more Fennekin to appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes!
4-star raids
Braixen will be available in 4-star raids!
Raid Passes or Premium Raid Passes are required to participate in these raids. Remote Raid Passes will not be accepted.
Bonus for completing 4-star raids
Once you successfully complete a four-star Raid Battle against Braixen, Fennekin will appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes. If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one!
Field Research
May Community Day-themed Field Research will be available! Catch Fennekin to earn rewards such as additional Fennekin encounters, Stardust, Ultra Balls, and more!
