5 by far the most interesting biomes that will be or may be in Minecraft in the future

Minecraft biomes changes. Which updates have already been confirmed?

Minecraft is a game that appeared on the market over 10 years ago, and despite this, it has a really big community. This is largely because the game is constantly supported by its developers and regular updates bring new content to it. In 1.18, a completely new world generator was added to Minecraft, where you can now find, among others, impressive new caves and hills.

The map is also composed of various biomes, which also greatly affect how the game world looks like. At the moment it is known that the next update 1.19 is entitled The Wild Update. From the trailer, it was known that a lot of attention was paid to the swamps, which will be refreshed. What other biomes may be in Minecraft in the future?

What biomes may appear in Minecraft?

New Badlands

During the Minecon Live event in 2019, Mojang allowed players to vote on which biome will be updated next. The options were badlands, swamps, and mountains. Although the first two options were not chosen as often by the players as the third, the developers confirmed that all of these biomes will be updated in the future. Update 1.19 may introduce a new variant of the badlands with weeds, vultures, or flowering cacti.

Revised Savannahs

During Minecon Earth 2019, players could similarly decide which biome would be refreshed. Fans could choose from the desert, taiga, and savannah. The taiga has made its way through both the desert and the savannah, but the upcoming update 1.19 could add the expected savanna biomes with baobabs, termites, and ostriches.

Improved birch forests

The Minecraft Live 2020 event announced the long-awaited update of the dungeons, but that’s not all that could be seen during the presentation by Mojang. The creators shared intriguing graphics depicting beautiful birch woods. The drawing showed Steve and Alex exploring a forest filled with flowers and tall trees.

There is no official information on the work on the forest in question, however, players hope that The Wild Update will have a little impact on them as well.

A new variant of the swamps

A swamp was the loser in the biome voting that took place during Minecon Live 2019. Many players were disappointed when it turned out that frogs and mangroves would not end up in Minecraft. Ultimately, during the announcement of The Wild Update, it turned out that the mob in question will come to the game with a new variant of the swamps.

Deep Dark

The Deep Dark cave biome was supposed to be released in Minecraft in the second part of the Caves & Cliffs update, but the developers were forced to postpone it due to the enormous amount of work. Deep Dark will come to Minecraft along with Warden in The Wild Update and will be much more extensive than initially planned.
