There are different ways to earn money from “new” games. Some people take advantage of early access to Lost Ark servers without much thought.
Lost Ark will become free to everyone on February 11. Until then, access is available to people who spent money on the cheapest version of the founder’s package. This means that they have an advantage over those who will be able to log in to Lost Ark in several dozen hours.
And so players came up with the idea to take the most popular nicknames. Some do it for profit, others simply for trolling. The problem with nicknames is that they are unique, and the developers don’t want to address this issue yet.
Trolling and a way to earn money
Selling accounts is of course against ToS, but few people are interested in it.
The solution would be to let players create the same nicknames, but with numbers for example – just like what it looks like with Blizzard. There, the general nickname only displays the name, and in the account details, a string of numbers appears.
For now, however, this cannot be counted on. Developers directly write that they plan to somehow renew their nicknames, but so far this is not the most important thing.
It’s a shame because it opens the door to take nicknames just for pure trolling. However, many people are attached to a name and would like to keep it in Lost Ark as well. On the other hand, it is not extremely important, it does not interfere with everyday gameplay.
