Will LoL still be negatively affected? Riot on whether it plans to continue releasing exclusive characters for TFT

League of Legends

After Silco was officially introduced to TFT, the developers revealed whether there will be more of this type of characters in the future.

The latest TFT set and pass will be truly unique. It’s not about rewards or Little Legends, but about the fact that for the first time in the history of the game, a hero not in League of Legends will appear on the map. It is, of course, about Silco.

The second half of 2021 belonged to the animated series Arcane. Virtually everyone talked about Riot’s production. The title garnered high marks and quickly conquered the rankings in many countries. Not only heroes known from League of Legends, such as Vi, Caitlyn, Jinx or Viktor, performed great, but also characters that had never been in LoL. The best example is Silco – a dark character who was initially stylized as a heavily dark character, but with time he also showed his human side. After the first season of Arcane ended, many felt sorry for Silco and felt that he was one of the best-written characters.

More than one player was shocked when Riot announced some time ago that the mentioned Arcane hero will appear in TFT. Some did not understand why the developers decided to take such a step, and others were happy because they knew it was the beginning of something new.

Is adding Silco to the game really a breakthrough? What do the creators say?

New heroes in TFT

New content in TFT – Neon Nights – will bring a lot of changes. Players will be able to earn items with the new pass, and new versions of Little Legends will be added to the store. In addition, Silco, Renata (the newest heroine of LoL), and Zeri will appear among the units.

The introduction of Silco to TFT is a real breakthrough moment. Riot is aware of this and is not surprised that players are asking about further plans for the game. Stephen “Mortdog” Mortimer commented on this and confirmed that a lot will change from now on.

Silco represents us opening the bridge to more things that aren’t just League of Legends champions.

Rioter also admitted that the developers are not currently working on anything specific.

We’re excited to consider options in the future, but nothing is currently planned that we can talk about that we’ve nailed down for sure. We’re open to the possibility.

Many TFT fans have suggested that it would be a good idea to add heroes from other Riot titles, such as Valorant, to the game. The shooter from Riot Games has many interesting characters that could prove themselves on the battlefield.

What does Stephen Mortimer say?

When we say there’s a possibility for non-League characters, Valorant is literally everyone’s first response.

It is not surprising that Valorant is really popular and the agents featured in it are widely known among fans. Of course, it must not be forgotten that League of Legends lore is incredibly complex and there are dozens of interesting characters in the world of Runeterra that would be suitable for TFT.

Who knows, maybe Riot will decide to go even further and not reach for the heroes from their titles but will get a little bit from other games. Crossovers are quite popular these days, and Fortnite is a perfect example of them. Not so long ago, Jinx was added to the title (on the occasion of the premiere of the Arcane series), and recently it was also announced that Vi will join her.

So far, it is not known who will be the next unique TFT hero. It is difficult to predict what the creators will decide, and as you know – they like to surprise their players.
