Why is LoL’s Seraphine “turbo broken” after 12.12? Gamers believe that Riot should nerf her quickly

League of Legends

Seraphine’s game win rate shot up. The community says it’s impossible to play against her.

There was a small Seraphine change to League of Legends in patch 12.12. Although it was not large, the developers decided to strengthen one of the key crowd control skills.

Because of this, her win rate soared. It currently stands at over 54%, and this is bothering players. They are demanding her fast nerf.

Seraphine jest broken?

Prior to Update 12.12, Dreamy Singer was doing better as ADC than as support. It was even mentioned by Riot August who was surprised that players do not play in this position very often. However, it was decided to change this and the ability to slow down or stop enemies completely was buffed. We are talking about “E” here:

  • Cooldown: 11/10,5/10/9,5/9 seconds —> 10 seconds
  • Slow/Stun Duration: 1 sec. —> 1.5 sec.

Seraphine has declined in popularity, so we’re buffing her crowd control effects so she can stun her enemies.

Reducing cooldowns at early levels and increasing CC’s duration was enough to kick her winrate up. This is clearly visible on the chart from leagueofgraphs.com:

The most profitable skill for maxing is obviously “Q”, then “W” and finally “E” should be done. The players choosing this tactic win the most matches – 55.6% of them, to be exact.

When it comes to the best character for the “combo”, Senna works great with Seraphine. The pair are hard to hold back, as can be seen from the win rate again. Together they win 60% of matches.

So it is not surprising that players ask for her to be nerfed and consider her to be the current “OP” character.
