Riot has made a change that really makes a big difference to Master Yi.
At the moment, it is not known whether this is a bug because Riot has not officially announced it, but you can actually use it on the PBE. Developers sometimes roll out these types of news without announcing, but in this case, it’s quite strange.
Why? This change is genuinely important for the Master’s gameplay. Players will be able to choose where their character should appear after using “Q”. It will be especially useful when you attack an opponent standing next to a wall.
What’s changing?
The principle of operation is very simple. When you use “Q”, when the opponent is standing somewhere near the wall, you can decide which side Master should appear on. “Ryscu” showed it well in his video.
Master will surely need some more help. The character is played mainly at the lower level. Above platinum, his winrate is so weak that he is in the TOP 6 of the worst heroes. This change, while important, will not affect his winrate or overall popularity.
However, Master is used to making big jumps when it comes to wins. Every now and then the percentage of winnings suddenly drops, and then returns to this norm at the level of ~ 50%.
