Ultimate Spellbook returns to LoL in a slightly different form. New ults and a wider selection of them
The return of one of the most-liked modes in LoL. It is currently being tested on the PBE.
The relatively new Ultimate Spellbook mode is one of the most-loved ones in League of Legends. Players eagerly choose it and enjoy interesting combinations on characters with two ultimates.
Now one of the Riot employees has informed about the changes that took place during his absence. She thinks they’re good and the communities will like them. So what does the changed US look like?
Ultimate Spellbook is back
Ultimate Spellbook is a rotating League of Legends game mode that the community liked a lot. The way it works is not complicated. Each player chooses his hero blindly and gives up one Summoner Spell in favor of a new skill, which he can choose from 3 randomly available at the very beginning of the match. Thanks to this, interesting and often OP combinations are created, such as Ekko ult and Skarner’s “Stuffing” addictive to the fountain.
Now it has been announced that it will be re-coming soon with some changes. They are currently tested on the PBE server. Rioter Reina Sweet informed about the new content. The most important update is adding new skills that were previously too weak. They have a passive bonus to MR, Armor, and HP (10 points, increased to 40 at level 18) when the ult cooldowns, making it better suited to the game’s balance. Additionally, 4 ults will be drawn at the start, not 3 as it was before.
All other rules remain unchanged. Ultimate Spellbook will likely arrive on public servers in Update 12.13. It is scheduled for Wednesday, July 13th.
