Why do LoL players dislike Kassadin’s new splash art? This is why

League of Legends

LoL players are complaining about Kassadin’s new splash art in LoL.

Kassadin’s splash art recently appeared in League of Legends in patch 12.6. At first, players linked him to the new heroine, treating the update as an announcement. But that’s not all.

Fans do not like the new art. They say that it does not suit the hero and the subject of LoL itself. It has been compared to the dark lord from season 1 and a dangerous antagonist. What else the community does not like about it?

Kassadin’s new splash art

Riot Games introduced a new splash art of Kassadin to League of Legends with Update 12.6. This is possibly related to the impending Void invasion of the world of Runeterra. However, the community did not really like the new version. It is especially about the design of the hero and his mask. This is what the new background looks like in full splendor:

The community alleges that Kassadin’s face has the vibe of an evil ruler and has been drawn as a villainous antihero. This is especially noticeable on the new icon.

Some even suggest a resemblance to the old StarCraft logo.

Others say that this change mainly irritates in-game, where it is difficult for them to distinguish a Kassadin icon from a Mordekaiser’s one. The solution given by the players may seem simple. It is enough to soften the scratches on the mask a little so that the hero does not look like the main villain from science fiction movies.
