What does Riot want to achieve with patch 12.10 in LoL? Players will have to get used to less damage
LoL players will “lose a few kills” before getting used to the new damage in patch 12.10.
In just a week’s time, the huge update 12.10 will appear on the official League of Legends servers. This is one of the biggest mid-season patches ever.
Its purpose is to reduce the damage dealt by characters. However, not directly, but as a result of increased strength. Now Riot is finally giving percentages.
The purpose of patch 12.10
The League community is looking forward to the upcoming update and has a lot of concerns. Players are afraid that the game will be unbalanced, and in fact, it probably will. Riot itself prepares for chaos by buffing all the characters on Wednesday, May 25, and nerfing the strong ones the next day. You can read more about it in this article: (Riot buffs all characters instead of nerfs. “It’s gonna be fun, but we’ll balance it later”).
Developers have already revealed to the community what changes the heroes will go through in the next update. Namely, shields and healing are to be strongly nerfed – by as much as 10%. Additionally, the stamina of all characters has been boosted by granting them more health, MR, and armor. However, it was not known by how much the damage would decrease. Now one of the Rioters has informed the community about it.
As you can see, everything will depend on your class, items, and playing time. As such, Riot has a really tough job. They must match all characters that are scaling, strong in the early game, mid, and so on for the new gameplay. So it is hardly surprising that players have serious concerns.
