This non-obvious pick is currently wreaking havoc on the middle lane in League of Legends

This LoL hero dominates the middle lane on Summoner’s Rift.

League of Legends is a game that stays on the market for so long because it changes all the time and it’s hard to really predict who will be in the meta in a year or six months. Over the past 10 years, players have been testing crazy picks in various positions. Some of them worked great, and others were popular for a while and were pushed out by much better proposals.

Currently, one of the rather unobvious champions is a real threat in the middle lane. His win ratio is really high. Who is it?

Singed on mid in League of Legends

Anyone who has played League of Legends long enough has probably heard the popular rule that everyone must follow when they enter the game: “Never pursue Singed.”

The character was never particularly popular and was far from such iconic characters as Yasuo, Lux, or Ahri. Nevertheless, over the years he has amassed a circle of devoted fans who like his gameplay. Singed not only involves constant movement and running around enemies and minions but also annoying enemies and making the more inattentive enemies poison themselves by chasing after the aforementioned champion.

While this may come as a great surprise to many – Singed is currently one of the best midlaners in the entire League of Legends. His win rate tops 55%, which is an amazing result.

According to the lolalytics.com website, the aforementioned hero currently has the second-highest win rate on mid. Only Zac is better than him and wins 55.83% of games.

As for the top lane, where Singed spent most of his life on Summoner’s Rift, the stats aren’t much worse, though definitely less spectacular than on the mid. Currently, in the Platinum+ divisions, the hero wins about 52% of games. Although he is not on the podium of the best toplaners, he is a very solid choice for this lane.

This is the most popular set of runes and items that are assembled on Singed as a midlaner:

Singed’s strength lies in his ability to roam and help the team in other parts of the map. The champion can help an allied jungler and take care of more important targets on Summoner’s Rift.

Unfortunately, the character also has disadvantages – in the later stages of the game Singed is no longer as strong, so he has to use his advantage in the early stages of the match.
