The shop for level 5 honor has again disappointed LoL players. Did Riot not keep its word?
Has the store for people with level 5 honor once again failed the League of Legends community?
The honor system in LoL was supposed to encourage players to behave well and be non-toxic. Riot announced from the beginning that it would be something that would offer the community many rewards, including key fragments, capsules, or even unique skins, among others. The developers talked about it as if every year there would be a new unique skin only for the most honorable players.
In practice, however, it looked like not much was changing, and those who unlocked skins for Warwick and Twitch a few years ago could only settle for chromas, which, according to many, are not among the most beautiful. The skins themselves are also no longer particularly desirable, as many years have passed since their release, so over that time the aforementioned heroes have received much better cosmetic additions.
The store for the level 5 honor token is back again, and once again disappointed the LoL community. What has changed in it?
Another disappointment for players
Over the years, the League of Legends community has repeatedly raised the topic of the store for the level 5 honor token. Many solutions were proposed – expanding the store with additional content, such as skin shards, emoticons, or icons.
Some argued that the tokens should be set aside so that years later they could be spent on something more expensive and interesting.
Despite the fact that dozens of ideas for revamping the store have appeared, Riot has done nothing about it and continues to offer the old content, i.e. skins for Warwick, Twitch, and chromas.
One player wrote:
Honor 5 token shop update? Feels pretty underwhelming to me. I feel you should be rewarded / incentivized just a little bit more for genuinly being a friendly guy in league of legends.. I did read there will be an update by the end of the season.. So lets keep the token and hope for the best.
Another LoL fan laughed at the text that appears after the store opens for level 5 honor. At the very top, it reads that “new rewards will be added every season.”

Of course, it should be mentioned here that Riot did not sit back and did nothing all the time. This year, a new skin for Malzahar was released, which went to those who got honor level 5 in the 2022 season. However, this does not change the fact that the store for the token has not been updated, despite the fact that the creators have announced this repeatedly, and even in the store itself, you can see the information that there are “top-level rewards”, which are updated every season.
Do LoL players feel disappointed? Unfortunately, yes. Most of those who are interested in rewards from the store for level 5 honor would like to have an actual choice, not just the ability to unlock more chromas for outdated skins.
