The music theme of the LoL hero during champion select? Great idea of one of the players

League of Legends

One of the League of Legends fans decided to use the songs of individual characters in an interesting way.

There are over 150 different champions in League of Legends, and each one is announced in a slightly different way. The creators prepare not only videos presenting the character, but also a separate musical theme, or – as it used to be in LoL – an animated login screen with a specific hero.

According to the community, this type of add-ons gave the game a unique atmosphere, which is why many people miss the animations and music that appeared after each client launch.

One of the players came up with the idea to use the musical themes that were created for each hero’s premiere and put them into champion selection. How does it look in practice? Could such an idea be officially accepted?

Music themes during character selection

A player named TechnicallyAWaffle undertook an interesting project, which consisted in adding fragments of the characters’ musical motifs to champion select. Of course, doing this for literally all characters would be tremendously time-consuming, so the author chose 28 examples that perfectly reflect what he wanted to achieve.

After selecting a hero in the client, their theme begins. Many themes are well known in the League of Legends community and probably will make many players feel incredibly nostalgic.

This is what the dozens of examples prepared by the author of the idea look like. Many commenters found the concept really interesting, and the nostalgic music reminded them of the old days when they started their adventure with League of Legends.

That would be something! Music gives the characters personality. I miss the old days when LoL had login screens with every champion.

I would feel too powerful to hear the Pantheon theme every time I choose him.

Wow, this is amazing. Pyke and Samira were brilliant. I’d love to hear Caitlyn and Kai’Sa’s theme as well.
