Riot tests Pyke’s changes in LoL. Infinitely scaling minimum HP required for an execution
Pyke has a chance to have his R changed in LoL. The novelty will be tested on the PBE.
The Bloodharbor Ripper has a unique ultimate. He is able to kill enemies with a small amount of health points and share gold from elimination with his allies.
However, in the late game, when all players have no more room for new items, this character becomes slightly weaker. Thanks to the new changes, he can catch up with other heroes by infinitely scaling the minimum points needed for an execution.
Eperimental Pyke change
On the test server, Riot Games will be checking the novelty for Pyke tomorrow. As Riot Captain, one of the designers of League of Legends, emphasizes, this is a very experimental change so far. This means that it will not necessarily go to the official servers.
A few champions were buffed in League in Update 12.8, and now, often picked for the support role Swain, has been changed. Additionally, a small rework of Taliyah will be added to the game in the next patch. The developers are definitely not idle.
As you can read, the execution threshold will scale infinitely regardless of the enemy Pyke kills. However, what does Rioter mean when he talks about the different sources of executing everything? It turns out that it is not only about heroes, but also about minions. The support item will help.
Soon the community will see how this will work on PBE. Perhaps this move, if it is officially added to the game, will bring the hero back to the games of professionals. He hasn’t been very popular lately and has only been picked twice throughout the patch. He lost both games.
