Riot listened to the players again in a seemingly trivial matter. Udyr’s rework changed

League of Legends

The new Udyr model has been reported to be “hairier” from now on.

Udyr’s rework from League of Legends arouses a lot of emotions. A lot of players waited for this really old champion to be refreshed – he had his premiere on December 2, 2009. Fans were curious how Riot would renew his model and skills, but also how new statements, splash art and lore would be presented.

Already after the first trailers, the community was in turmoil – some were interested in the hero’s rather ambiguous dialogue lines, which may indicate that he feels something for Lee Sin, and others wondered if the champion would eventually get any chroma during the rework (see: This champion from LoL is the only one who does not have a single lame. Exceptional case), and there were also those who commented on the hairiness of the model.

It might seem strange, but the topic of Udyr’s body hair was actually quite popular. Some fans have argued that Riot unnecessarily censors and smoothes characters (Udyr adapted to the Chinese market in LoL? Players complain about the lack of hair). Ultimately, the creators decided to change something in this matter and modified the revamped model of the hero. How does he look now?

Hair of a refreshed Udyr

There is information on the Internet that the Udyr model on PBE has been slightly changed. It is specifically the hair on the chest and abdomen. After the updates, there is more of it and the champion doesn’t feel overly smooth anymore – which many fans have complained about.

How are the changes looking?

The comments, incl. those on Twitter, show that many fans were very happy about this change. Gamers write that the newest Udyr looks a lot better and are grateful that Riot has heeded the community’s request.
